Memorandum of Cooperation Signed Between the Sustainable Development Alliance of Ukraine and Rotary Club Zaporizhzhia-Khortytsia

Zaporizhzhia, June 1, 2026
Oleksandr Nefyodov, Chairman of the Board of the Sustainable Development Alliance of Ukraine, and Olena Sopina, Head of Rotary Club Zaporizhzhia-Khortytsia, signed a Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation. The document outlines key areas of joint activity focused on community recovery, infrastructure development, support for local communities, and the creation of additional opportunities for sustainable regional development.
The Memorandum builds upon agreements reached by the parties in early April and marks the beginning of a new stage of cooperation.
Key areas of collaboration include:
• preparation and implementation of investment and recovery projects in communities across the Zaporizhzhia Region;
• support for internally displaced persons affected by the consequences of the war;
• combining the Alliance’s investment capacity with Rotary’s expertise and volunteer network;
• assessment of damage and identification of community needs;
• exchange of information, expertise, and partnership opportunities.
Commenting on the signing of the Memorandum, Oleksandr Nefyodov, Chairman of the Board of the Sustainable Development Alliance of Ukraine, stated:
“Our goal is not simply to attract resources but to transform them into tangible results for communities. By combining the Alliance’s investment capabilities with Rotary’s international connections, expertise, and volunteer potential, we will be able to accelerate infrastructure recovery projects, support internally displaced persons, and create new opportunities for the economic development of local communities and regions. This partnership is intended to deliver meaningful and visible improvements for people in the near future.”
The parties reaffirmed their readiness to implement humanitarian, social, and recovery initiatives aimed at strengthening communities, restoring infrastructure, and improving quality of life across the region.
